Principal's Message
I would like to welcome you to the Dorchester School of Technology’s website. As you browse this site, you will find information about our programs. We see our role as two-fold: first, to contribute to the well-rounded education of every student who participates in our programs; and second, to prepare our students to meet the needs of employers in the business community.
Each program at the School of Technology utilizes a craft committee comprised of local business and craft representatives for the purpose of keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technological changes in the given field. These committees work with our staff in the areas of job skill development, safety, and understanding the need for acquiring the proper “soft” skills of attendance, punctuality, problem-solving, conflict resolution, teamwork, etc.
Through a variety of scheduling schemes, a wide range of students are able to take advantage of our program offerings. Upon graduation, our students typically enter the world of work, go into the military, or go on to a variety of post-secondary educational institutions.
As we attempt to prepare our students to be successful in this highly competitive, technological world, we invite you to visit our school and see our students showcasing their skills first-hand.
